As part of the Relay 2.0 upgrade, you’ll need to let your customers know that their payments need to be sent to your new checking accounts, not your original Relay 1.0 accounts. We created an email template to help you communicate this to your customers.
You'll have to copy/paste your Relay 2.0 banking details into the email template. To find your new, Relay 2.0 account information:
- Go to your Accounts page and click on a Relay 2.0 checking account
- Click on Details—here you’ll find your account and routing numbers, as well as information you’ll need to share with anyone sending you a domestic or international wire

Subject line: Please update [Business Name] payments with new banking details
Hi [Your Customer's Name],
I wanted to let you know that Relay, my business banking partner, has provided me with new checking accounts as part of foundational improvements they’re making to their platform. As a result, the banking details you have on file for [Your Business Name] need to be replaced with my new account information.
Going forward, please use the following details when sending payment to [Your Business Name]:
[Your Relay 2.0 banking details]
Can you please make sure that this is updated on your end by [date]? The checking accounts I was using previously will be closed and unable to accept payments.
