With your Relay account, you can accept international wire transfers using the SWIFT network. These are processed by an intermediary before being deposited into your Relay account. With the instructions in this article, you'll be able to generate your account's SWIFT and IBAN (where applicable).
Note: Please ensure that the country from which you are receiving a wire is on our list of eligible countries.

How to send an international wire transfer from your Relay account
- To send an international wire transfer, please first add a payee for an international wire transfer. Once you have done so you may navigate to the Payments tab.
- Click New Payment in the top right-hand corner.
- Select your payee, and then select International Wire Transfer as your payment method.
- Select your source account, and then enter the amount, the desired currency, the frequency of payment, and the date of payment. Don't forget to enter a reason for payment in the memo field!
- Once you have entered all the required information, please click Next in the bottom right-hand corner.
- Confirm your payment details and then click Initiate Payment in the bottom right-hand corner.
How to Receive an International Wire Transfer
If you are receiving an international wire transfer for the first time, please follow the instructions below
- To receive an international wire transfer please navigate to the Accounts tab.
- Click Manage.
- Click Receive International Wire Transfers.
- From the drop-down menu, please select the account you would like your international wires deposited. Click Save. You may change this at a later date.
- Once you have saved your preferred account, please navigate to the Accounts tab.
- Click on the checking account you have selected as your deposit account.
- Click Details.
- Click International Wire and provide the following information to the sender of the wire.
If you have already received an international wire to your account, please follow the instructions below.
- Please navigate to the Accounts tab.
- Click on the checking account you have selected as your deposit account.

- Does Relay charge a fee to send or receive an international wire transfer?
- Relay charges a $10 fee to send an international wire transfer. We do not charge you a fee to receive an international wire transfer.
- Can I receive funds in currencies other than USD?
- Yes, you can receive funds in the same currencies availible when sending an international wire from your account. For a list of supported currencies please see: How to Convert Currency in Relay
- How long does it take for my international wire to reach the recipient?
- International wire transfers will take 2-3 business days to arrive at the recipient's bank
- How long does it take to receive an international wire transfer?
- The timeline for receiving an international wire is dependent on that of the sending bank. Please reach out to the sender to confirm the expected settlement date.
