All physical Relay debit cards require a PIN, which is set when you're activating your card online. Virtual debit card PINs, however, are entirely optional as they may not ever be required when making online purchases. If you do want to set up a virtual debit card PIN, this article will walk you through how to do so.
What are virtual card PINs and when would they be required?
Sometimes, mobile wallets like Apple Pay or Samsung Pay may require you to input a PIN when linking your Relay virtual debit card. Furthermore, some terminals may require you to enter a PIN when using a virtual card with your mobile wallet. Virtual debit card PINs can be set up within your account when this information is required.
