Can Relay open accounts for non-profit organizations?

Relay is happy to offer our services to non-profit organizations! Please note that Relay can only provide our services to 501(c)(3)s and/or 501(c)(6)s organizations if they are U.S.-registered non-profits, registered with the IRS, and able to provide a CP-575 Employer Identification Number verification letter.

Registration requirements

When signing up for Relay, you'll be prompted to enter the information for a Beneficial Owner. Since non-profits don't have an owner, we kindly ask that you please provide the information for the individual with significant responsibility for managing the legal entity; this can be a CEO, COO, CFO, President, Vice President, Treasurer, etc.

When prompted to enter this individual's ownership percentage, enter their percentage as 100% if they will be the only managing member for this business.

If multiple managing members will be listed on the account as Beneficial Owners, split the ownership percentage evenly among the members. As a note, only four Beneficial Owners can be listed on the account. Additional team members can be added once the account has been activated by following the steps outlined here.
