Editing the nickname of a linked bank account

If you've linked your external bank account to Relay, you can edit the account's nickname as it appears in Relay to easily keep track of each account.

Please note: editing an external account nickname is only possible on Relay via desktop at this time, as this feature is not currently supported on the Relay mobile app.

How to edit the name of a linked external account

  1. Sign in to your Relay account.
  2. Navigate to the Accounts tab, then select External accounts from the drop-down menu.
  3. All external accounts that you have connected to Relay will appear here. Click on the three vertical dots next to the external account you wish to edit, on the far-right side of your screen.
  4. Click Edit Nickname.
  5. Enter your preferred account nickname, then click Save.

I don't see an option to edit the account's name, what do I do?

If you do not see the option to edit your external account's nickname, it is likely because the connection process is not yet complete. Once the bank account connection is fully verified, you will be able to edit the account's nickname.
