If you've previously linked your external bank account to Relay to fund your Relay account, but no longer wish to have the account connected, you can remove that bank account from Relay by following the steps below.
Please note: removing a linked external account is only possible on Relay via desktop at this time, as this feature is not currently supported on the Relay mobile app.
How to remove a linked external bank account
- Sign in to your Relay account.
- Navigate to the Accounts tab, then select External accounts from the drop-down menu.
- All external accounts that you have connected to Relay will appear here. Click on the three vertical dots next to the external account you wish to remove, on the far-right side of your screen.
- Click Remove.
If you ever need to re-connect this external bank account in the future, you can do so by following the steps outlined here.
Pending transactions
If you have any pending transactions that are being facilitated by the account connection between Relay and your external account, these transactions may be returned if the external account is removed before the transactions settle. It is recommended that you wait for any transaction(s) to settle before removing your external account from Relay.
