Updating your card PIN

All physical debit cards require a 4-digit PIN which is to be set during card activation. Virtual debit cards also have the option of setting a PIN, though they are not required.

To update your card PIN, you will need to know your current/old PIN. If you've forgotten your current debit card PIN, please see What should I do if I forgot the PIN for my debit card?

I can't reset my PIN because it says there were too many failed attempts. What do I do?

If there were 3 or more failed attempts to enter your existing PIN when trying to reset it, your card will be locked for security purposes and you will not be able to update your PIN. This should revert in 24 hours and your PIN fail count should be reset. You will be able to update your PIN as normal after this time!

If you can't wait 24 hours because you urgently need to use your card, you can contact our Customer Experience team by phone for assistance with resetting your PIN. Our hours of operation are 9 AM to 8 PM EST, Monday through Friday.

If it's outside our business hours and you cannot reach us by phone, we may recommend creating a new virtual card to use in the meantime. These are activated instantly and can be used online and connected to your digital wallet for in-store purchases.
