Blocking merchants from directly debiting your account via ACH Pull

Relay does not have the ability to block specific merchants from debiting your account via ACH once you've already provided them with your account details.

If any unauthorized ACH Pulls were successfully debited from your account, you will need to follow the steps outlined in this article to dispute the transaction(s) in question.

If there are ACH Pulls being attempted without your authorization, here's what we'd recommend:

  1. Contact the merchant directly to request the removal of your account details from their system and terminate direct debits moving forward.
  2. Create a new checking account and initiate an internal transfer to move the funds from your compromised checking account into your new account. From there, you can close the compromised checking account, thereby blocking any further unauthorized debit attempts from occurring.
