You can close your credit account if the account has a $0 balance. Follow the instructions below to learn how to close your account once any outstanding payments have been made.
Please note that the ability to close credit accounts is only supported on the desktop version of the Relay platform. This feature is not currently supported on the Relay mobile app.
How to close your credit account
To close your credit account, please log into Relay on your desktop and follow the steps outlined below:
- Sign in to your Relay account.
- Navigate to the Accounts tab.
- Select the credit account you wish to close.
- Click the three vertical dots in the top-right corner of your screen.
- Click Close Account.
- Select the reason for closing your account.
- Provide additional information, if applicable.
- Click Close account.
I don't see the option to close my credit account, what do I do?
If a balance remains on your credit account or there are pending charges, you will not see the option to close the account.

Will closing my credit account negatively impact my credit score?
No, if you choose to close your credit account, it will not negatively impact your credit score.
What will happen to my credit cards if I close my credit account?
Your credit cards will be automatically terminated when your credit account is closed.
