Sending Cardholder nudges for missing receipts for Expense Management

This article will walk through how to remind/nudge your Cardholders to upload receipts to their card transactions. To do this, you must first have your Relay Accounting integrated with Xero or QuickBooks Online. For more information on integrating, please see the following articles: 

Please note: Cardholder nudges can only be set up on Relay via desktop at this time, as this feature is not currently supported on the Relay mobile app.

How to send Cardholders nudges

  1. Sign in to your Relay account on your desktop.
  2. Navigate to the Expenses tab.
  3. Here, you will see your Expenses Table. Please filter for Action Required, then select Missing fields and Ready to sync.
  4. There are two ways to nudge Cardholders to upload their receipts:
    • On the transaction, select the three dots on the end and click Nudge Cardholders.
    • Select the box beside the Name for all of the vendors, and that will select all the transactions that are missing receipts. Click on the bell icon to send a nudge to Cardholders to upload their missing receipts. 

How do I set up a receipt notification for Cardholders?

How do receipt notifications work for Cardholders?

When a Cardholder makes a card purchase, they will be prompted to upload the receipt for their transactions by SMS and email. For more information, please see Expense Management documentation notifications for Cardholders.
