What are the biggest changes to Relay
The two biggest changes to our plans are:
1) Core financial workflows to manage, approve, and categorize your Expenses and Bills are now free in the Starter plan
2) We have updated our APY, credit card cash back rates, and incoming and outgoing payment processing fees for each plan.
Effective dates for the new plans
- The new pricing and plans are available for all new Relay customers on April 29th, 2025.
- If you are currently a Relay Standard (free) user, your account will be automatically migrated to the Starter plan on May 30th, 2025.
- If you are currently subscribed to Relay Pro, your plan will be automatically migrated to the Grow plan on June 30th, 2025.
- You can switch to a different plan anytime through your account settings under Settings > Billing
How does this affect Accountants and Bookkeepers?
An accountant or bookkeeper who previously received Relay Pro for free will continue to receive the Grow plan subscription for free.
Additionally, businesses that receive a discounted rate through our partner program will retain their discount, depending on whether they choose the Grow or Scale plan. No action is required—your plan will automatically switch to the Grow plan on June 30th, 2025
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change my plan anytime?
Yes! You can upgrade or cancel your plan at any time by going to Settings>Plans and Billing.
What happens if I decide to cancel my subscription?
If you want to cancel your Grow or Scale subscription, your plan will not renew on your billing cycle date. You will lose access to any benefits from your Grow or Scale subscription at the end of your billing period.
What happens if I upgrade my plan from Grow to Scale during my subscription?
You will be charged the full monthly fee starting the date you decide to upgrade until you cancel your subscription. You will then be immediately reimbursed for a prorated amount equal to the remainder of your existing subscription period, if any, upon upgrade to a new plan.
How does this affect the interest earned in my Savings Accounts?
Previously, the APY earned by your Savings account varied between 1.75%-3.76% and was determined by your average monthly account balance.
Going forward, APY will be determined by your subscription plan.
