The Relay bank feed in Xero automatically syncs every 3 hours, starting at 2:00 am EST. You also have the option to manually trigger a sync at any point, if you would like your most recent data in Xero. Only settled transactions sync (pending items wait until they settle).
Please note: adding, editing, or removing integrations is only possible on Relay via desktop at this time, as these features are not currently supported on the Relay mobile app.
Steps
- Sign in to your Relay account.
- In Relay, go to Settings → Integrations.
- On the Xero tile, click Manage to open the Xero integration panel.
- Click Sync now in the top-right corner to manually sync all enabled bank feeds.
- Alternatively, from the Bill Pay or Expense Management section, click Refresh Xero to sync those specific areas.

A banner will appear confirming Sync started. Transactions typically appear in Xero within 1–2 minutes.
Use this if you’ve just posted a transaction or made account changes and need them to appear in Xero right away.
