Manually syncing your Xero Bank Feed

The Relay bank feed in Xero automatically syncs every 3 hours, starting at 2:00 am EST. You also have the option to manually trigger a sync at any point, if you would like your most recent data in Xero. Only settled transactions sync (pending items wait until they settle).

Please note: adding, editing, or removing integrations is only possible on Relay via desktop at this time, as these features are not currently supported on the Relay mobile app.


Steps

  1. Sign in to your Relay account.
  2. In Relay, go to Settings → Integrations.
  3. On the Xero tile, click Manage to open the Xero integration panel.
  4. Click Sync now in the top-right corner to manually sync all enabled bank feeds.
  5. Alternatively, from the Bill Pay or Expense Management section, click Refresh Xero to sync those specific areas.
  6. A banner will appear confirming Sync started. Transactions typically appear in Xero within 1–2 minutes.

    Use this if you’ve just posted a transaction or made account changes and need them to appear in Xero right away.
