Managing your account and profile information in Relay

You can manage your personal, contact, and security details all in one place — your Profile page.

Here’s how to access it:

Web Mobile
  1. Log in to your Relay account.
  2. Click your business name in the bottom left corner.
  3. Select Settings → Profile.

Once you’re on your Profile page, use the sections below to update your information.


Personal information

Updating your work email
Change the email associated with your login.

1. From your Profile page, scroll to Work email.
2. Click Edit and enter your new address.
3. Follow the verification link sent to your new email.

Note: Email changes can only be made on desktop.


Updating your phone number for 2-step verification
Keep your two-factor authentication number up to date.

Your phone number is used for two-factor authentication (2FA) and account recovery.

1. On your Profile page, find the Phone number field under Personal information.
2. Click Edit and enter your new number.
3. You’ll receive a verification code to confirm the update.


Updating your mailing address
Change the address used for mailed checks or debit cards.

1. Go to your Profile page.
2. Scroll to the Mailing address section.
3. Click Edit and update your address details.

Ensure your address is current and accurate to prevent issues with mailed items.


Security

Changing your password
Update your password for a more secure login.

1. From your Profile page, click Change password under the Password section.
2. Enter your current password, then your new one.
3. Click Save to confirm.

Tip: Choose a strong, unique password that isn’t used anywhere else.


Business information

Updating your business or billing address
Change your registered business or billing location.

Your business and billing addresses are managed separately from your personal mailing address.

1. Go to Settings → Business Information.
2. Under Business address, click Edit.
3. Update your details and click Save.

You may be asked to upload a recent proof of address (such as a utility bill or lease).



Updating your business name
Change your registered business name on file.

If you would like to update your business name on file, contact our Support team can update this for you.

Contact us with the new details and documentation we will perform the changes on your behalf.

Tip: Make sure your site is live and lists your business name clearly — this helps with faster verification.


Updating your business website and business phone number
Edit your business contact details in Relay.

To update your business name with Relay, please contact our Support team with your new business name and supporting documentation, such as a Certificate of Amendment or Certificate of Name Change. Once we review the documents, we’ll make the update on your behalf.

If you also need to update your business website or phone number, our Support team can help with those changes at the same time.

Merging two business accounts with separate logins
Combine two existing Relay accounts under one login.

If you have two Relay accounts under different logins, our Support team can help merge them into one.

Contact us and include the email addresses for both accounts. Once verified, we’ll securely merge your profiles and confirm completion.


Updating your EIN or entity details
Learn what to do if your business EIN or entity information has changed.

EIN and entity details can’t be edited once your Relay account is open.

If your business has a new or corrected EIN, you’ll need to register a new business with the correct EIN and entity details.

To do this, log in to Relay and register a second business using the correct information.


Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I have to verify my new email address?

There’s no expiration on the verification email. However, your new email won’t be active until you verify it. Relay will continue using your old email address for all communication until the new one is confirmed.

What if I can’t log in to update my email?

If you’re unable to access your account and need to change your email, give our Customer Experience team a call. We’ll verify your identity over the phone and help you get your email updated.

Can I update my email address from the mobile app?

Not at this time. Email changes must be completed from the desktop version of Relay.
