This article will walk through how to cancel an existing Relay Pro subscription. After your Relay Pro subscription has been cancelled, you will still have access to its features/benefits until the end of your current billing cycle.
Please note: Relay Pro subscriptions can only be cancelled by a business owner with Administrator permissions or an advisor with Super Administrator permissions. Relay Pro subscriptions can only be cancelled via desktop, as this feature is not currently supported on the Relay mobile app.
Cancelling Relay Pro as a business owner
- Sign in to your Relay account on your desktop.
- Navigate to the Settings tab.
- Click Billing and plans.
- Click the red Cancel Plan button at the far-right corner.
- You will then be prompted to tell us why you are cancelling this subscription. This is an optional step, though we do encourage your feedback!
- Click Confirm cancellation.
Cancelling Relay Pro on behalf of a client
As an accountant or bookkeeper managing a Relay client's account, you have the option to pay for Relay Pro on behalf of your clients. Alternatively, you can invite your clients to use Relay Pro, in which case each client pays for their own subscription.
If you need to cancel a Relay Pro subscription on behalf of your client:
- Sign in to your Relay account on your desktop.
- Within your Partner Portal, click on the three vertical dots at the far-right end of the client’s business name.
- Click Pro subscription settings.
- Click the red Cancel Plan button under Billings and plans.
- You will then be prompted to tell us why you are cancelling this subscription. This is an optional step, though we do encourage your feedback!
- Click Confirm cancellation.
Please note: your client will lose access to all Relay Pro benefits at the end of their current billing cycle.
After you've cancelled your subscription
You can cancel a Relay Pro subscription at any time, and you will maintain access to the Relay Pro functionality until the end of your current billing cycle.
If you do not wish to renew your Relay Pro subscription after the 14-day free trial, you must initiate your cancellation before the end of your trial period to ensure that you are not charged. You will still have access to Relay Pro features until the end of your trial period.
