Updating your mobile phone number for 2FA

At Relay, keeping your account secure is our top priority! That's why all Relay accounts are protected by Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

If you would like to change the mobile phone number on your account, you can adjust this in your account settings. You may need to do this if you've recently changed your phone number, or if you would simply prefer to use an alternative number other than the one currently on file.


How to update your phone number for 2FA

Web Mobile
  1. Sign in to your Relay account.
  2. Navigate to the Settings tab.
  3. Under Profile, locate the Phone number field and click Edit.
  4. Enter your new phone number. You will need to verify your old phone number to complete the change.
  5. After clicking Save, you’ll be asked to sign back in to your Relay account to confirm the change.

This is the phone number your 2FA codes will be sent to moving forward, and this change is effective immediately.


I've lost access to my device and can't receive 2FA codes. What do I do?

If you are experiencing any difficulties with your phone number or need to change it due to lost access to your phone, we are here to assist you. Please contact us at 1-(888) 205-9304, and we'll be there to help!

Please note: we are unable to make any changes to your login information (including your mobile phone number) via email, for security purposes. Please give us a call so we can verify your identity and help you access your account as soon as possible.


When is SMS Verification Needed? 

Keeping your account safe is our top priority at Relay. On occasion, when changing your phone number, you may be prompted to verify your changes with an SMS code sent to your previous mobile device as an added layer of security. 

Please note: For security reasons, Relay is unable to make any changes to your login information (including your mobile phone number) via email. If you want to make these changes, please give us a call so that we can verify your identity and help you access your account as soon as possible.
