You can create up to 20 physical (plastic) and 50 virtual credit cards. Cards can be created with just a few clicks!
Important: The Relay Visa® Credit Card is available only to customers who successfully meet our eligibility check and fulfill the required criteria. For more information on eligibility, please see An Overview of the Relay Visa® Credit Card.
How to create a new credit card
- Sign in to your Relay account.
- Navigate to the Cards tab.
- Click Create card.
- Select the card type (physical or virtual).
- Give your card a nickname (for internal use only).
- Select Credit card as the Card type.
- Select whether the card will be a shared or individual card (learn the difference here).
- Assign a Primary cardholder.
- Assign a Receipt admin. This team member will be responsible for collecting receipts for purchases made on this card.
- Apply any spending controls (vendor/category controls, spending limits).
- Choose the name(s) to be printed on your card (for physical cards only).
- Select your shipping address (for physical cards only).
- Click Next.
- Confirm your card details and click Create card.
- Sign in to the Relay app on your mobile device.
- Navigate to the Cards tab.
- Tap the green plus (+) sign at the top-right corner of your screen.
- Select Credit card.
- Select the card type (physical or virtual).
- Give your card a nickname (for internal use only).
- Select whether the card will be a shared or individual card (learn the difference here).
- Assign a Primary cardholder.
- Select the source account.
- Apply any spending controls (vendor/category controls, spending limits)
- Confirm your card details and tap Create card.
How long will it take for my physical card to arrive in the mail?
Physical cards will take 8-10 business days to arrive in the mail.
Can I mail a card outside the U.S.?
Unfortunately, we do not ship cards outside of the U.S. at this time.
Can I change my vendor or category controls after I create my card?
Yes, to edit your vendor and category controls please see: Editing vendor and category controls on your Relay Visa® Credit Card.
Can I change my spending limits after I create my card?
Yes, you can change your spending limits at any time. Please see Editing your Relay Visa® Credit Card transaction limits for more information.
Can I replace an existing card, rather than order a new one?
Yes, please reach out to our Customer Experience team if you would like to replace a card. Please note that when we issue a replacement card, the old card will be automatically terminated.
Does Relay charge a fee if I use my card outside the U.S.?
A foreign exchange fee of 1% will be charged when you make a purchase in a non-USD currency.
