Step-by-Step: How to Change Your Email in Relay
To update your email address, follow these steps on the Relay desktop app (this feature is not available on mobile):
- Sign in to your Relay account on desktop.
- Navigate to the Settings tab.
- Click Profile, if it's not already selected.
- Under Work Email, click Change email.

Complete the two-step verification:
- An SMS code will be sent to the phone number linked to your Relay account.
- Enter the code to proceed.
- Enter your new email address and click Send verification.
- Check your inbox for a verification email from Relay.
- Click Verify your email address in that message to confirm the update.
Once verified, you’ll receive a confirmation email and can sign in with your new address.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long do I have to verify my new email address?
There’s no expiration on the verification email. However, your new email won’t be active until you verify it. Relay will continue using your old email address for all communication until the new one is confirmed.
What if I can’t log in to update my email?
If you’re unable to access your account and need to change your email, give our Customer Experience team a call. We’ll verify your identity over the phone and help you get your email updated.
Can I update my email address from the mobile app?
Not at this time. Email changes must be completed from the desktop version of Relay.
