Not every invoice needs to be sent with a payment link. If you prefer to download your invoice and send it manually—or just want a PDF copy for your records—Relay makes it easy to export your invoice in a clean, professional format.
When to export an invoice as a PDF
Use this option when:
- You want to send the invoice through your own email or invoicing system
- Your client prefers a downloadable file
- You need a copy for recordkeeping or offline use
- You’re not yet ready to request payment via Relay
How to export an invoice as a PDF
- Sign in to your Relay account.
- Go to Get Paid > Invoices Navigate to the Invoices dashboard in your Relay account.

Create or open an invoice
- To create a new one, click Create Invoice and fill out all required details
- To edit an existing draft, click on it from the list
- Click “Only create invoice” This saves the invoice in Relay without sending a Payment Request

Open the saved invoice
- Find it in the invoice dashboard
- Click the invoice to open the detailed view

Download the PDF
- Click Download PDF at the top right of the invoice
- Save the file to your device and send it however you prefer
What the PDF includes
- Your business name and logo (if uploaded)
- Contact and invoice number
- Line items, taxes, discounts, and total amount
- Due date and memo (if added)
The PDF matches what the client would see if the invoice were sent directly through Relay.
