Relay makes it easy to create professional, client-facing invoices that reflect your business identity. This article walks through how to add your business name (or DBA), logo, and contact details to your invoices—so every invoice you send looks consistent, polished, and on-brand.
Where to manage branding settings
- Sign in to your Relay account.
- Go to Invoices > Settings at the top-right corner, open the General tab, and find the Branding section. Select Edit on the Design thumbnail to open the Customize Invoices editor.
The Customize Invoices editor has two steps—Branding and Content—that let you tailor how every invoice looks.
Pro Tip: Branding lives inside your invoice design, not on the main Settings page. Go to Invoices > Settings, open the General tab, and in the Branding section select Edit on the Design thumbnail to open the branding and content options.

Previewing branded invoices
When creating or editing an invoice:
- A live preview appears on the right side of your screen. Use the PDF Invoice / Payment page toggle to see how your branding looks in each.
- Your logo and business details will appear automatically at the top and bottom of the invoice
These changes apply to all future invoices. Past invoices will retain their original formatting.
Best practices
- Use a square, high-contrast logo for better visibility
- Include up-to-date contact info for your business
- Choose a short, consistent prefix for invoice numbers if you use one
